The app is a bit rough around the edges, and I'm sure that will be quite plain to see.

You can download the latest version of it from here:

https://www.usenix.org.uk/code/livetracking/latest/

I'm guessing you're using an Android device, if not, the above will not run, and I don't have an iPhone version yet.

You'll need to make an account for the app to sync update data to, you can create one at:

https://www.usenix.org.uk/content/trackmanage

It'll prompt you to login/register.

Here's the important bit; I've not written any "friends" element to this (yet). So you'll need to use a password that you don't mind sharing with whoever you'd like view your location. Once I've done the various bits for "friending" this wont be an issue. Like I say, its a bit rough around the edges.

So, whoever wishes to track you will need to login at the following page, and that will simply show your track and location.

https://www.usenix.org.uk/content/livetrack

Your GPX data will be available at the trackmanage page above, which you can manually upload to Strava, Garmin Connect, etc.

As far as the app goes, just press "record new activity" to create a new track, you'll have to control the on/off element via turning location on and off via your phone settings.

Please let me know how you get on or if any of the above discourages you. I'm not a company this is something that I do in my spare time. I'd like to point out, I've no intention of charging for this in the future and I value your feedback, good or bad.

Thanks for testing.
